    Question

Y'know i haven't posted a topic in here for ages. So heres one.

Anybody got any ideas for a scene where objects move independently? (Phycokenises if i could spell it) Basically a glass floats up and smashes against the wall. Strings maybe? Dunno anyone ever tried something like this?

You could get a member of your crew to wear a blue/black/green full body suit have it cover there whole body then. Lock your camera down and get a good clean plate of your set.

Now put the glass on the table or where ever. Get your crew member to pic up the glass from the top touching as little as possable of the glass and keeping the frame clear behind the glass have them move around the chuck the glass at the wall.

Now the hard part will be to key out as much as you can of your crew member and rotoscope any other little bits of evidence left in the frame.

Ive never done this its just an idea. Maybe Ive over simplified it but if you do some heaving thinking Im sure you can work this out.

Hope this helps. A little anyway.

    Despin out.

    Hi,

I'd fancy doing this with CGI. Then
you could have the glass break before
    it hits the wall.

    Would be fun,

    andy

I've done this with a shirt and all we did was get some "invisible" thread and stick down the sleeves, then have two guys off camera run like hell with the thread.

For the glass thing, I'm with Mr, Winton, you could do this really easily with 3D Studio Max.

Create a square, make it transparent & semi reflective, animate it so it moves the way you want to and attach a "bomb" to it, set up to explode when and how you want it.
